Testing and checking our Rapture Unstructured Jacket pattern in the toile stages was too much for Winnie to resist who clearly thinks she is helping with button-holing. Spoiler – she wasn’t!
We love to incorporate adaptive elements in our patterns and buttons are such a great way to add on and play with a basic shape. But don’t let that put you off. If your confidence with a buttonholing foot isn’t quite there yet, then switch buttons out for some hand sewn press-studs (hand sewing poppers is super relaxing and meditative) or snip some Velcro into 1 inch squares and stitch those on instead.
