Every wardrobe needs a smart casual top moment and Call Me delivers just that. Somewhere between blouse and shirt, it is a great work staple, no frills Saturday brunch top or pared back evening tunic top teamed with a wide leg pant. The jauntiness and stand out looks of this top are all in the cut of the sleeve - fitted from the shoulder line to the elbow and then flaring into a more dramatic flute. It works brilliantly when building our signature silhouettes as a layering piece, peeping out from our wider three-quarter sleeve Rapture Kimono. A simple cut opening and hook and eye fastener makes this an easy pattern to make and master.
Call Me Flute Sleeve Top - Paper Pattern
This pattern's silhouette looks great made in lightweight cottons, silks & linens. For our red version we used a silk crepe, which gives it a lovely drape, while the cream (cotton seersucker) and the black (broderie anglais) styles offer a little more structure to show off the fluted sleeve.
We print our patterns to order on 40 gm paper, so place yours before 11 a.m for delivery within 3-5 working days. We will email our easy-to-follow, fully illustrated, instruction booklet to you directly. We like to view these on a tablet as we sew so that we can zoom in on the images to see the detail. Each pattern includes XS/S/M/L/XL sizes. We recommend tracing off the pattern you need (rather than cutting it out) in case you want to change sizes later.
